Description
Machined pivot collar for the Transient 2.9. Choose your material and finish; every part is made to order in Erie, PA.
Fits Transient 2.9 only. This part is sized for the Transient 2.9 and will not fit other HMC knives. Not sure what you have? Email info@hmcknives.com before ordering.
- DarkTi – titanium and zirconium damascus forged by Chad Nichols. Colors brightly when polished and heated; colour and pattern may differ slightly from part to part.
- Zirconium 705 – spring-like like titanium, develops a bold, dark oxide finish when heated.
- Titanium Grade 5 – strong, light and corrosion resistant.
Pivot collars only fit knives that already have collars (not 1/2" no-collar knives). To convert a no-collar knife, add a Tier 2 Knife Spa (remachining required).
Installation is at your own risk – HMC is not responsible for damage during install. You can send your knife in for install via a Knife Spa (customer pays shipping both ways).

My experience with Jim was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. From the very first interaction to the prompt and safe return of my freshly spa’d and upgraded knife, everything was seamless.
I had picked up a 3.2 Transient on the secondary market in flawless condition, but I wanted to add radial milling on the scales and dark Ti accents. Jim brought that vision to life quickly.
When the knife came back, the action was next level. What was once just a beautiful piece to admire has now become a daily carry, and I can’t put it down. The action, the feel, the attention to detail, every bit of it is flawless.

Purchased 3.2 accents and pivot collars. The pivot collars required modifications to the knife body so I had to send it back to Jim V. The work was completed quickly and the accent pieces look amazing. As always, customer service from Jim is 110%.
